This past Sunday, a couple visited our Homebuilders Adult Bible Class for the first time. I greeted them as they came in and thanked them for coming. As they walked past me and made their way to their seats, the wife leaned back and said, “Well, after two personal invitations we had to check it out.” She was referring to the two personal, hand-written notes I had sent them previously. When she said that, I thought well, it worked!
Those notes were just one idea I got from this book. I certainly don’t endorse every idea in the book or everything about the author, but I do believe there are some great ideas that can be gleaned from a discerning Christian.
I would recommend this book to any Pastor, Staff Member, Adult Bible Class Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, or any servant of Christ that desires to help in the process of turning first-time guests into full-engaged members of your church.
