New Revitalizing Action

While I was putting toothpaste on my toothbrush this morning, I noticed on the tube the words, “New Revitalizing Action” referring to the amazing job my toothpaste guaranteed if I used it faithfully. As I brushed my teeth, I thought about how much pressure there is in our society to have the new and improved in every area, even toothpaste! We are constantly bombarded with the message that we are not to be content about anything and always looking for more.

Of course God says in 1 Timothy 6:8, “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” Most of us qualify.

Later this morning, I was dropping off my girls at school. I dropped off Moriah and Lydia first and then Annalene, who began Kindergarten this year. As she got out of the car, I told her I loved her. She looked back and told me, “I love you too, Dad.” Then just as she was closing the door, she poked her head back in my car and said, “Dad, tell Mom I love her too.”

As I drove away, I could not help but think of how blessed I am! How good God has been to me! I just wanted to take a moment this morning and praise my God for His amazing goodness! I know how undeserving I am and I am blown away with His kindness towards me! The fact that He loves me, walks with me, care for me, and answers my prayers is still something that amazes me!

I also wanted to take a moment this morning and encourage you as you read this to take a break from noticing all of the things in your life that need “new revitalization” and focus on the blessings of the Lord and tell Him thank you! You will be amazed at how much you truly have to be thankful for!
